All About Essential Oils

Hello!  I’ve put together this site as a simple reference for those of you looking to learn more about Essential Oils.  I ordered the Premium Starter Kit with Young Living – more on that here and I just love them, I could not do without them now!  This makes me excited to share all of things I have learned and all of the ways my family is using our essential oils everyday.

If you are brand new to using Essential Oils I recommend looking at a few of the following resources:

• An Oils 101 video.  This video is 50 minutes but its a great introduction to the oils and it walks you through each oil that comes in the Premium Starter Kit.  If you can find the time, I think you would enjoy this!

• One of the single best resources on Young Living Essential Oils in my opinion is www.theoilyangels.com They have fantastic information and TONS of ways to use your oils and learn more about how they can help your family.

After you learn how Essential Oils can be a tremendous benefit to your and your family you might be ready to try them out!!  Young Living offers retail and wholesale pricing.  Wholesale pricing is 24% off retail for members and its free to join.  Think of it like a Costco membership but there is no membership fee to join  In order to keep your membership you simply need to spend $50/ per year on Essential Oils.  If you are using and enjoying your oils this will not be a problem and if you do not end up loving your oils, you are not obligated to purchase.

You can also sign up as a customer and purchase anything you like at anytime but all pricing will be at retail and not include the 24% off discount. Up to you!

A lot of people get started with Young Living Essential oils by purchasing one of their Start Up Kits like I did.  If you are very excited about using oils and know you want a diffuser this is a great way to go.  More on the Premium Starter Kit HERE.  However, if you would like to start smaller and just try an oil or two that is a great idea as well! You can purchase the start up kits at any time.

If you are looking for an oil to start with, I recommend Lavender ($23 whsl – 15ml), Peppermint ($21.50 whsl- 15ml), Lemon ($11.25 whsl-15ml) and Thieves ($33.75 whsl – 15ml) or some combination of these!  This is really my go to group of oils that I feel a slight panic about running out of them.  Also, if you purchase individually the bottles are three times as big as what you get in the starter kit so thats one thing to note! I did go through my 5 ml starter kit bottles pretty quickly (a few weeks or so) but I was using them a LOT. So it really depends on how much you use them.
